Critical Incident Management

About Critical Incident Management

Critical incidents can occur suddenly and may cause severe trauma to staff and the wider community. At Peak, we understand the immediate to long-term impacts of trauma and can provide a service that is sensitive to acculturative stress in  line with the many experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Peak's goals are aligned with our model of Response + Recovery + Regularity + Referral.   The services we provide are (but are not limited to):

  • Immediate response to traumatic events through early intervention counselling and support.

  • Assisted recovery with regularity which includes:

    • follow up services seven days after a traumatic incident,

    • assessment, and coping strategies,

    • case management, etc.,

    • and check-in one month after the traumatic event.

  • On-going support is provided upon request and referral to specialised services if required.

At Peak Social Work we will always confer with employers and their employees.
