Who We Are
Peak Social Work Pty Ltd is 100% Indigenous-owned. We are a local company based in Cairns, the home of the Gimuy Walubara Yidinji people.

We aim to improve the social and emotional wellbeing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
We recognise and promote the importance of working collaboratively with individuals, community groups, organisations, government agencies and private businesses.
We believe working collectively is paramount to advance the physical, social, emotional health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Services
Our services are provided Face-to-Face, via phone and through video conferencing platforms. Peak Social Work will collaborate with businesses to offer a culturally safe and responsive service.
Counselling
All counselling sessions are delivered through a yarning method in a confidential and private environment. Our practice offers a safe collaborative space that recognises the need to build trust, and promote empowerment, to make pro-social choices.
Critical Incident Management
Our focus on employee recovery efforts - post critical incident - has grown from Peak Social Work's extensive experience in providing services to meet urgent community needs. We will support staff and community with immediate to longer term assistance and bring to the role a considerable network of supporting agencies and services.
Group Psycho-Education and Therapy
We offer to partner with your business to deliver Group Psycho-education and therapy programs. Our overarching aims in working with people, or businesses, is to reinvigorate, identity, purpose and authority.
Supervision and Coaching
Our personalised framework of approach to supervision and coaching is to facilitate the interface between the cultural and professional dynamic. At Peak Social Work we offer to assist with the accommodation of cultural identity, provide ongoing support and impart a professional structure derived from the IPA Framework.
Culture, Competence and Consultancy
At Peak Social Work we believe in partnering from a research based informed approach. Our goal to work from a shared vision then allows us to highlight , support and develop capability in areas of cultural competency.
